The following is a guide to how to wash your face properly and correctly from the US dematology association, the American Academy of Dermatology. Follow these steps to keep your face healthy.

1. Use facial cleansers that are soft and not abrasive or contain alcohol. Also make sure the facial cleanser is in accordance with the type of skin such as dry, oily or pimpled skin.

2. Wet the face with warm water and use the fingertips to apply the cleanser. Using a sponge or a fingertip can irritate the skin.

3. Don't rub the skin too much. Hold the temptation to rub the skin too hard because it can also cause irritation to the skin.

4. Rinse face again with lukewarm water and dry it with a soft towel.

5. Apply moisturizer if your skin is classified as dry or itchy skin. Apply the cream gently when it is around the eyes so it does not attract too much delicate skin in the area.
